Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is for anyone who is struggling with their own mental health. Whether you are having difficulty with depression or anxiety, a relationship, or managing stress. Your primary focus is on how you can identify your own patterns and make changes to how you communicate with others, and how you manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours.
Kate uses both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement and Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR) in individual therapy. With EMDR in particular, Kate also offers an ‘intensive’ format which is a 4hr+ session designed to assist processing and integrating challenges in a shorter space of time, allowing for a reduced impact of regular therapy time in your life. Think of an intensive session as the ‘hard and fast’ approach to therapy.
Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy is for couples who are experiencing challenges or transitions within their relationship. Whether there is a misalignment of values, uncertainty about the future, navigating a new stage, or you are looking to strengthen the relationship under times of stress, the focus is on the couple and the dynamic that exists between you. Therapy focuses on providing tools for healthy communication, exploring vulnerability, and identifying shared goals and purpose.

Professional Supervision
Professional supervision is for individuals that work within the health sector, or professionals who are working directly with people in management or leadership roles. Supervision focuses on building your reflective practice, developing insights in your work with people, helping you navigate difficult ethical or interpersonal challenges, building team culture, and assists in meeting registration requirements according to your professional body of registration.
Facilitation & speaking events
Second Nature Psychology provides training and facilitation to organisations as required. This includes working alongside organisations to deliver workshops or education programs for groups of employees, primary industry groups, farm employees, or providing specialist insights at key speaking events.
Tailor-made programs can be developed and delivered according to the organisational need.

On farm visits and
succession planning
If your team needs support and it works best to get everyone around the kitchen table, then Kate can travel to you. On farm visits work best for groups or family working through succession, or farming partners who may be struggling to align their staff or team culture. Kate can facilitate healthy and productive communication and provide strategies to move forward together that work in your farming context.
Other services
Comprehensive Psychological assessment: The way ADHD and ASD are diagnosed in adults can be very confusing and difficult to navigate. If you are seeking a diagnostic assessment, it is important to consider your desired outcome of the assessment. For instance, if you are seeking an assessment and diagnosis to start medication therapy, then it is likely best to pursue a referral to a Psychiatrist or specialist GP.
If you are seeking an assessment and diagnosis to further understand your cognitive functioning, understand your strengths and difficulties, and explore behavioral therapy approaches to managing conditions such as ADHD, then an assessment by a Clinical Psychologist is a great option.
